1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account via Google OAuth 2.0. The specific Google API scopes we request are: email, profile, and openid. We do not access your Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google services. If you register with email and password, we store your email address and encrypted password.

Payment Information

When you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment method details. We receive and store your email address, purchase history, and transaction amounts from Stripe for billing and account management purposes.

Profile Information

You may provide your first name, last name, phone number, country, LinkedIn profile URL, and GitHub portfolio URL.

Resume and Profile Data

When you upload a resume or provide your LinkedIn profile URL, we store the uploaded file and any text extracted from it. When you use our Blueprint features, we store the analysis results and scores.

Usage Data

We collect technical data about how you use the platform, including API usage, token consumption, and response times, to manage quotas and improve our service.

With your consent, we also collect product analytics through PostHog, including page views, feature usage, and session recordings of how you navigate the platform. Session recordings mask all text you type and exclude sensitive content such as resume text, and we never record admin areas. No analytics load until you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time in the consent banner.

Voice and Interview Data

When you use our Mock Interview practice feature, we access your microphone during the live session and process your speech in real time to convert it into text. For practice sessions we store the resulting text transcript, the timing and delivery metrics computed from it, and the AI-generated evaluation and scores. We do not store audio recordings of practice sessions: your voice is processed in real time to produce the transcript and is not retained as audio.

Interviews requested by a company work differently, and we tell you before you start. When a company invites you to an AI interview for a specific role, the session is recorded: audio, and video only if you choose to turn on your camera. The recording, the transcript, and the evaluation report are stored securely and shared with the company that requested the interview, as part of its hiring process. You confirm this on the interview page before the call begins. We keep these recordings for as long as they serve that hiring process, and for no more than 24 months. You can ask us to delete a recording at any time through the contact below, and if you close your account we delete the recordings of your interviews along with it.

In every case: we never use your voice or image to identify you (no voice prints, no facial recognition), we never run emotion or facial-expression analysis, and recordings exist only so the people involved in the hiring process can review the interview.

3. Third-Party Services

Your data is processed by the following services:

Important: When you use our AI features, your resume or LinkedIn profile content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.

4. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and the European Union, where our service providers are located. By using the Platform, you consent to these transfers.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security ensuring users can only access their own data. Uploaded files are stored in encrypted cloud storage. All connections use HTTPS.

We implement industry-standard security measures, but no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:

• Personal data is deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics
• Data required for legal compliance may be retained as required by law

Audio from Mock Interview practice sessions is processed in real time and is not retained. Recordings of interviews requested by a company (audio, and video only if you chose to turn on your camera) are kept for as long as they serve that company's hiring process, and for no more than 24 months, as described in Voice and Interview Data. You can ask us to delete them at any time, and closing your account deletes them. The text transcript and evaluation follow the same retention as the rest of your account data.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data and account
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing activities

8. Additional Rights for EEA/UK Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to:

• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
• Request restriction of processing

Our legal basis for processing your data includes: consent (when you upload your resume or LinkedIn profile), contract performance (to provide requested services), and legitimate interest (to improve our platform and prevent fraud).

9. Additional Rights for Brazilian Users

If you are located in Brazil, you have rights under the LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados), including access, correction, deletion, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@unlockcareer.ai (subject: “LGPD Request”).

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sales (we do not sell personal information).

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

12. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, which are always active. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how the platform is used, and on our marketing pages, advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) to measure the performance of our campaigns. You choose which of these to allow in our consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time. We do not sell your data.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending an email to your registered address.
