The company offers an integrated platform combining accounting, financial management, and tax services, helping businesses simplify their financial operations and gain better visibility into their finances.

Despite being relatively new, the client has already acquired over 300 clients, generated millions of dollars in revenue, and continues to grow rapidly.

As the company scales, it is looking for a talented and highly autonomous Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and evolve its technology platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in modern web development, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and Python, contributing across both frontend and backend systems.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, takes ownership of features from concept to production, and thrives in fast-paced startup environments.

You will collaborate directly with the founders and cross-functional teams, helping shape the product roadmap, architecture, and engineering practices as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Build and optimize frontend and backend components, ensuring seamless integration and excellent user experiences.
• Develop reliable APIs, backend services, and distributed systems to support the company's financial platform.
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering decisions, balancing scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Work closely with the founding team to define product priorities, technical direction, and long-term engineering strategy.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improve system reliability, and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from technical design and implementation to deployment and ongoing improvements.
• Contribute to a collaborative, fast-moving engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and delivering business value.

Required Qualifications

Software Engineering

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
• Proven hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications using TypeScript, Next.js, and Python.
• Solid understanding of frontend and backend architecture, API development, and system integration.
• Practical experience designing, developing, or maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, clean code, maintainability, and application performance.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop reliable, scalable solutions.

Product Ownership & Startup Mindset

• Experience taking ownership of technical solutions and delivering features independently.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with founders and contributing to technical and product decisions.
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of moving projects forward with minimal supervision.

Communication

• Upper-intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B2/C1).
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with an international team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

• Previous experience in FinTech, financial services, accounting software, or financial management platforms.
• Experience working in early-stage startups or high-growth technology companies.
• Familiarity with financial workflows, accounting processes, or tax-related software.
• Experience making architectural decisions for scalable web applications.
• Background working closely with founders, product leaders, or small engineering teams.
• Experience building products in environments where requirements evolve quickly and engineers have significant ownership.
